What is a HSA?
The HSA allows you to contribute funds on a pre-tax or tax-deductible basis, which you may use to pay for eligible medical expenses. The information to the right is available to learn about HSA's.
Effective September 1, 2020, Garrett-Evangelical's new HSA provider is Employee Benefits Corporation which uses Avidia Bank. Employees who have funds with HSA Bank, will continue to have access to those funds with HSA Bank. Employees can also contact HSA Bank to be able to transfer their balance to Avidia Bank.
Note: Only employees enrolled in the Aetna HSA plan (HDHP) are eligible to open a Health Savings Account (HSA). Employees pay 100% of the monthly contribution based on their election.
2022 Limits
Minimum Contribution: Individual $1,400, Family $2,800
Maximum Contribution: Individual $3,650, Family $7,300
Catch Up (> 55): Can set aside additional $1,000
