Help Desk

The IT Help Desk provides first-level technical support to all faculty, Staff and Students at Garrett. We should be your first point of contact for problems in the following areas:

  • Computer Problems
  • Printer Problems
  • Software Problems
  • Network Problems
  • Phone Issues
  •  Net ID

We're here to provide you with the help you need. If you're having problems, please stop by Shaffer Hall Help Desk, located in the Main Building room 721. You can also call us at: 847-866-3928 or dial extension 3928 if you are on campus.

If you are not able to stop by our Offices please visit our Help Desk Portal ( or email us which will generate a support ticket:

Please specifically describe the problems you are having so we know how to help and resolve the problem.

hint:  (Do not email us directly your email will likely get lost in the daily emails we receive. Use the ticketing system for the fastest response time.)


The Help Desk hours are listed as follows:

Monday 9:30am - 4:30pm
Tuesday 9:30am - 4:30pm
Wednesday 9:30am - 4:30pm
Thursday 9:30am - 4:30pm
Friday 9:30am - 4:30pm

Saturday and Sunday we are closed.

To schedule a recording of your event, service, or class, please email with the name of the event, date, time/duration, room number, and any AV requirements you have.


Garrett-Evangelical is committed to academic integrity and encourages you to seek permission to record guest lecturers, preachers, and others prior to their arrival on campus. For your convenience, you can download the Photo/Video Release Form now and email it to the appropriate person(s).
